Jean and Dale

In the fourth year of her emancipation, Ol Queen Cole was visiting the Great Oracle when she happened upon the musings of an unknown naive.

Through the exchange of virtual writings, the Queen discovered that this naive was struggling to achieve his own emancipation. And that he desired to leave his dark kingdom for the experiences of new sights and sounds.

After many meetings at the Oracle, the wise Queen suggested that the beleaguered man learn the ritualistic dances of their ancestors, for this was giving her great enjoyment. He was skeptical, for he had no experience with such things. But he was smitten by the writings of the Queen and desired to meet her.

The Queen informed the naive that she could be found at the court of the Great Cosimo, wizard of the rhythmic feet.

To her surprise, the naive appeared at the training grounds. At first, the Queen was bemused by the naive's feet of lead and awkward movements. But his heart was good and she took pity upon him.

As she helped him learned the rituals of the Big Bands, they became friends.

And it came to pass that the naive needed to make a journey to the far-off islands of the Orcas to retrieve a chariot. He invited the Queen to join him on the mission. During the trip they visited the Roost of the Sea Hawks (where his daughter abides); the Valley of the Potatoes (the ancestral land of her clan); and the Mile High Mountains (where her daughter resided). Along the way the friendship between the Queen and naive grew and they became soul mates.

Over the next couple of years the Queen and her consort shared many adventures and good times. He became emancipated. They reveled in each other's company. And it came to pass that the Queen made him her King in a ceremony attended by their six Princesses and one Prince, and many relatives and good friends.

They twice traveled to the Land of the Peaches (where his daughter resides), revisited the Valley of the Potatoes, thrice explored the Peninsula of the Flamingos (home of her daughter), partook of the Islands of the Pineapples, experienced the Neon Desert, marveled in the Valley of Tinsel, traveled to the far-off Kingdom of the Bear, sailed the Pirates' Sea, explored the harbor of tea, saw the rivers of ice, and traveled with Flat Stanley to the island of chickens.

And they danced. Thrice at the Great Faire, twice for the Electronic Oracle, once for the Governor, and once for the Saints.

Today the Queen and the King live in a humble palace next to the Track of Hope where they delight in each other's company and that of their families and friends.

Life is good.
